Ailee’s Career
Ailee started her career in 2011. Before embarking on her music-career, she studied at Pace University. She moved to Korea in 2010 and eventually was recruited for YMC Entertainment. She performed with Jay Park, and several other artists in 2010.
In 2011, Amy was featured on the MBC’s Chuseok special episode of Singer and Trainee. She released her first song “Heaven” written and produced by Wheesung, on February 9, 2012. She won Song of the Month and Rookie of the Month at the Cyworld Music Awards, proving her ability.
Amy made her first appearance on KBS’s Immortal Songs 2 in 2012 and appeared on an episode of Immortal Songs 2. The same year she released her debut EP, Invitation- I’ll Show You. In 2012, she bagged the first trophy in a music program.
The same year she won the Best New Artist Award at the Seoul Music Awards. Ailee released the second EP A’s Doll House in 2013. Amy released her single, Heaven on November 6, 2013.
In 2015, she did her first solo concert titled Fatal Attraction on July 4, 2015. She was awarded the Best Female Vocal Award at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards, for Mind Your Own Business. In 2017 Amy released her debut American single “Fall Back.”
