Avatar 2 surpasses $1 billion in 14 days Globally

“Avatar: The Way of Water” has surpassed $1 billion in global box office sales after only two weeks in theatres. The impressive milestone puts the Disney blockbuster ahead of “Top Gun: Maverick,” which didn’t reach the $1 billion mark until 31 days after its release.

The previous record was held by “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in 2021, which took 12 days to reach the milestone. “The Way of Water” has broken that record. In the movie industry’s history, only six films have made more than $1 billion in their first two weeks of release.

It has now eclipsed “Jurassic World Dominion” as the year’s second most earning movie and is the third highest-grossing movie of the pandemic era.
