Malone was born on July 4, 1995, in New York. Raised by his father Rich Post, Malone started playing guitar and even auditioned for a local band in 2010. His father was a manager of concessions for the Dallas Cowboys, and he grew up with his stepmother, Jodie. Later his parents moved to Grapevine and attended Grapevine High School there. And he dropped out of Tarrant Country College.
In 2017, Austin even performed as a DJ playing “My Chemical Romance” at the Emo Nite. Malone created his first mixtape, Young and After Them Riches using open-source audio software called Audacity. He learned his guitar to the popular video game Guitar Hero.
