Ryan started his career in 1993 as a child star in The Mickey Mouse Club (1993–1995.) In 2001, he starred in an American Drama Film The Believer. In 2002, Ryan appeared in a psychological thriller Murder by Numbers alongside Sandra Bullock.
In the year 2003, he portrayed in The Slaughter Rule and The United States of Leland. 2004 was an amazing year for him.
